The Helping Hands Foundation, Inc. (HHF) established the NeedleArts Mentoring ProgramSM (NAMP) in 2002 to create community partnerships that promote and encourage relationships between adults and youth — fostering curiosity, creativity and a feeling of achievement through the teaching of needlearts. This is in keeping with TNNA’s mission of inspiring passion for and education about the different needlearts disciplines through such outreach programs.
HHF provides publicity, documents, start-up supplies, how-to books and an official Leadership Guide for after-school programs, scout groups or other youth groups that establish a NAMP locally.
"Currently, we have programs in place throughout 39 states, with over252 programs of volunteers touching the lives of over 6,000 children.” — Penny Sitler, Executive Director of Helping Hands Foundation
